English Breakfast Tea

English Breakfast is the name given to black teas that tea blenders believe will give the drinker a good pick up at the beginning of the day. There are many different blends that claim to be English Breakfast; many start with China Black, Indian or Ceylon tea or any other combination of tea. Originally, the tea was not a blend at all but straight Keemun tea.

The infusion that results is normally has a medium body and a brisk character. English Breakfast is robust enough to hold up to the addition of milk.
